Andrea Jeremiah

Andrea Maria Jeremiah is an Indian actress, playback singer and a musician who works most often in Tamil as well as Malayalam film productions in the language. She made her acting debut in the Tamil movie Pachaikili Muthucharam and made her Malayalam debut with Annayum's Rasoolum. Andrea Jeremiah is an Anglo-Indian born at Arakkonam Tamil Nadu. Her father is an attorney in the Madras High Court. She has a younger sister who is a resident of Leuven Belgium as researcher assistant. Jeremiah grew up near Chennai, was a student at National Public School before graduating from Women's Christian College. She has said that she was quite a geek and aspired to become psychiatrist once she had completed her 12th board exams.Andrea started playing the piano classically at the age of eight. Young Stars, a Jackson Five-style group she joined at 10 years of age, was her foundation for early musical and vocal. In her school, she was a theater artist and performed in a variety of stage shows put on by The Madras Players. She was also president of Women's Christian College's Student Senate. Andrea began her journey acting in the theatre, as Girish Karanad's Nagamandala. She acted in new leo commercial for coffee alongside actor Shiva in the year 2006. Also, she was a part of an episode that was retransmitted on Podhigai channel. She has appeared in all parts of India. She had a short role in the finale of Kanda Naal Mudhal (2005). After performing a number of songs in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu He asked her to be cast the leading female characters in his upcoming film Pachaikili Muthucharam. This film was a film adaptation of the novel by James Siegel Derailed, with Andrea acting as Kalyani a homemaker whose husband is involved in an affair and is targeted by a blackmailer. Andrea won the role of Kalyani following auditions. Simran Shobana, Tabu as well as other actors were offered the chance to audition for the role. The film debuted in the early 2010s. It was announced in the year 2011 that she would be a part-time acting role as a support in Venkatprabhu's film Mankatha to be came out in August 2011. She made her Malayalam film debut alongside Rajeev Rathi's Annayum Rasoolum in the year 2013.
